What fascinates you?

Here's your opportunity to explore topics that YOU want to study, to dive deeply into areas that you would love to explore.

What doesn't even feel like work when you do it?

Choose a topic that doesn't feel like work; pick an area that you can get lost in. This course requires dedication and discipline, but if you choose wisely, it won't be drudgery.

What are you passionate about?

When you really love something, you don't mind following all the side-roads of information connected to it. Here is your opportunity to make your knowledge not only deep, but wide.

Why is this class called TPSP?
It's actually a statewide program -- Texas Performance Standards Project

"The Texas Performance Standards Project (TPSP) is a resource for providing differentiated instruction to gifted/talented (G/T) students (and can be used for providing enhanced academic opportunities for all students)." At Wylie High School TPSP Independent Study serves the G/T population but is open for any student willing to work independently and creatively.
